Your Questions, Our Answers

Welcome to the Nine Physio FAQ section – our hub of information aimed to address your queries and provide insights into our services. We understand that when it comes to your health and well-being, having clear information is essential. This section is designed to offer transparency, alleviate concerns, and empower you with the knowledge needed to make informed decisions about your care

Ask us a Question

Your treatment plan and duration will completely depend on your diagnosis, the severity of your injury and impairments, your past medical history, and other factors. Re-evaluations will be done continually to assess your progress

As a guide, some patients need just 1 session, whilst others decide to continue with treatments even when their injury is fixed to turn their rehab into a prehab journey and become stronger and more resilient in both life and their sports

This will depend on the type of treatment you are having and on what body part.  If we are treating your feet you will not be asked to undress, but if we are treating most other areas, you will need to wear comfortable underwear and / or shorts.

For physiotherapy, there is a chance you will be in our gym at some point, so you would need clothes that are not too tight and that you are able to move about comfortably in.

For sports massage and any soft tissue work, we will need to access your body.  If we are working on your back, a bra that can be unclipped is more appropriate than a sports bra.

Make sure you fill out your pre-treatment questionnaire (sent via email) prior to your first appointment.  Our first session is always a little longer as we have to build out a fuller picture of you, your injury / condition, your goals and how we can best help you

If you have had previous investigations or are on any medication, make sure you bring this knowledge with you

Apart from that, make sure you dress appropriately and you bring some water that you can drink immediatly post session

Just reply to the confirmation email or text that you will have received for your booking and we can rebook your session.

Please give us at least 24 hours notice of any changes or cancellations.

We see and treat patients for a wide range of conditions and diagnoses from the bottom of the feet to the head and most things inbetween. Pretty much anything that involves movement, muscles and the skeleton!

Absolutely. Physiotherapy is beneficial for individuals of all activity levels. Whether you're an athlete or someone seeking relief from everyday aches and pains, our services are designed to improve your musculoskeletal health and well-being

Sports massage is specifically designed to address issues related to sports and physical activity. It focuses on enhancing performance, reducing muscle tension, and aiding in recovery from sports-related and muscoloskeletal pain and injuries

Your initial session will involve a thorough assessment where we will discuss your medical history, evaluate your condition, and create a personalised treatment plan tailored to your needs

Initial appointments are always an hour as it takes a little longer to build a comprehensive picture of your history and your presenting condition using both your subjective and objective assessments.

Most follow up sessions are 45 mins, but depending what you need, we also offer 30minute slots and will discuss this with you at your treatment session.

Prehabilitation, or prehab, focuses on preventing injuries through proactive exercises and conditioning. Rehabilitation, on the other hand, is the process of recovering from injuries or surgeries through targeted exercises and therapies

Our services are inclusive and beneficial for individuals of all ages. We tailor our approach based on the unique needs and conditions of each age group.

If we are seeing somebody under the age of 18, we do expect them to be accompanied by an adult during their treatment session

Counseling can benefit anyone dealing with stress, anxiety, relationship issues, or seeking personal growth and enhanced sports performance. If you're unsure, give us a call for a free consultation with our counseller to help determine if counseling is a good fit for you

Absolutely. Many individuals find the combination of physiotherapy and counselling to be synergistic, addressing both physical and mental aspects of well-being for a holistic approach
